Yoga
Shared with Care
by Kathy
Bedford, Virginia

Thank you for visiting me here ~ my name is Kathy Graham
and when I took my first yoga class in Sept 2000, I was hooked.
Sharing its benefits with others since 2004, I currently offer on-going classes
at the Bower Center for the Arts close to home in the town of Bedford, Virginia.
I also travel to hold classes at Patmos United Methodist Church for my out-of-town students in
Huddleston/Smith Mountain Lake area.
My intention is to encourage, facilitate and support nurturing experiences.
People may come with a desire to move more freely and with less pain,
or to foster better posture and stronger balance, or to cultivate healthy approaches
to anxiety, fears and stressors. Many wish to weave a peaceful practice into their life.
Whatever the reason, I want our time together to feel good,
be meaningfully informative and playfully rejuvenating.
In college, I majored in Social Work, assuming the world would always need social workers
and I wore many hats in that field as the Marine Corps moved us around.
I recently realized that by sharing yoga, I'm still in that line of work - promoting healthy
and empowered people while fostering connection and building community.
All of my classes, adventures and workshops enhance well-being,
endorse the very essence of what the word yoga means (union, coming together)
and are infused with the positive energies of gratitude and love.
The world will always need these.
The world will always need yoga.
(My darling granddaughter, Faolynn, in a moment of bliss.)

Unique Offerings
Classes
Whether it's a mat class or a chair class,
whether we are encouraging mobility, enhancing strength, practicing posture, increasing our balance
or welcoming ease, our breath leads the way.

Adventures
Expanding our community connections outside of class,
we enjoy picnics and field trips to interesting places, visits with intriguing people, and many an opportunity just to be with nature.

Workshops
Understanding the importance of growth,
I'm always on the lookout for inspiring people to lead workshops for us.
I also enjoy offering healing experiences with my daughter, Savanah,
a Reiki practitioner.
